According to Wikipedia, Messehallen subway station is the deepest subway station in Germany regarding the distance between platform and ground level. There is an intermediate floor located right below ground level, from where some of the longest escalators in Germany lead down to platform level. The diagonal elevator is placed next to one of those in such a way that the mechanics of the escalator are partly visible.
