From Kaz .....I wanted to release this song on my 50th birthday to begin a year of celebration of making it this far in life. Choosing 'Standing Tall' as the first song from my new album is me letting go of the pain of my past now that I have found my peace in France. It is also the perfect time to stand with anyone who has experienced violence. This song is about my own experience living with domestic violence so it is my hope that it reaches those who need to hear that there is hope in breaking free from the chains of control but also to educate, inform and continue my own personal campaign to use music to highlight social issues. THIS SONG IS DEDICATED TO ANYONE AFFECTED BY DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

🇫🇷 Je voulais sortir cette chanson le jour de mon 50e anniversaire pour commencer une année de célébration du chemin parcouru dans la vie. Choisir Standing Tall comme première chanson de mon nouvel album, c'est laisser partir la douleur de mon passé maintenant que j'ai trouvé la paix en France. C'est aussi le moment idéal pour être aux côtés de tous ceux qui ont été victimes de violence. Cette chanson parle de ma propre expérience de la violence domestique et j'espère qu'elle touchera ceux qui ont besoin d'entendre qu'il y a de l'espoir en se libérant des chaînes du contrôle, mais aussi pour éduquer, informer et poursuivre ma campagne personnelle d'utilisation de la musique pour mettre en lumière les problèmes sociaux. CETTE CHANSON EST DÉDIÉE À TOUTE PERSONNE TOUCHÉE PAR LA VIOLENCE DOMESTIQUE.

🇺🇸 Originally from Belfast, Kaz Hawkins has been singing for almost 30 years, but she has been known, mainly in Europe and the USA, for a few years for her own repertoire: texts strong in emotion, charged with her personal history, placed on a music that oscillates between folk, blues, soul and gospel.
