Driving from New York City to Cold Spring, NY - Fall Foliage

Sunday, November 4th, 2018. Drove from Midtown Manhattan to Cold Spring, New York to check out the autumn foliage colors along the Hudson Valley. Started out in Midtown west and and headed south via 7th Ave to SoHo for a small errand before proceeding onto the westside highway. Took the Henry Hudson Parkway north before merging onto the Sawmill Parkway towards Hawthorne. Continued up via the Taconic State parkway and Route 9A towards Peekskill and to the round-about across Annsville Creek and local roads to Cold Spring. Return trip was similar except I failed to reconnect with 9A and took Broadway local for a long stretch through between Croton-on-Hudson and East Irvington before finally merging back onto the highways. Decided to skip the Henry Hudson Bridge toll by getting off in Riverdale and crossing back into Manhattan via Broadway. Good weather, uneventful drive, many pretty colors.
