Ancient Babylon & Persia Inspired City - Minecraft Timelapse

Hi guys, welcome back! In this video, we will be building a city with architecture inspired by Ancient Babylon and Persia! Featured in this video are structures inspired by the Hanging Gardens, Ziggurats, and the Persepolis Palace. In addition, the city features sprawling apartment blocks, a farmer’s market, university, and Persian Pairidaeza. Welcome to Raiyulon, long awaited capital of the Raisyut Empire!

Background:

Raiyulon began along a vital river coursing through the Sunlands, where early settlers transformed the desert into fertile farmland. At the heart of this first city rose the blue ziggurat, a towering symbol of faith and resilience. This striking structure, visible from every corner of the settlement, served as a focal point for community life and worship. In its shadow, daily life unfolded with a shared sense of purpose, the city growing steadily around its sacred core.

As Raiyulon entered its golden age, the city expanded both outward and upward. The famed Hanging Gardens brought color and life to the city’s center, becoming renowned throughout the Sunlands. Towering walls soon encircled Raiyulon, safeguarding its people and wealth as it flourished in trade and influence. Yet even in this time of prosperity, whispers of an emerging power in the south grew louder, stirring unease. The people of Raiyulon continued to celebrate their achievements while keeping a wary eye on the horizon, sensing that change might be approaching from beyond their city’s walls.

Eventually, the southern forces swept across the Sunlands, capturing Raiyulon and transforming it into the capital of the newly formed Raisyut Empire. To mark its importance, a grand palace was erected adjacent to the Hanging Gardens, housing the emperor and asserting Raisyut authority. From this seat of power, the Raisyut Empire extended its reach, successfully annexing northern regions such as Aris and setting its sights on further conquests. With Raiyulon now a symbol of imperial strength, the empire casts its ambitions toward Qarthene and Salumnra, seeking to unify the Sunlands under a single banner.
