TAP MUN GRASS ISLAND HK | SHORT HIDDEN HIKE & AMAZING VIEWS (how to get there, views, highlights)

Tap Mun Grass Island is located in the northeastern part of the Hong Kong territory. It lies north of the Sai Kung East Country Park on the Sai Kung Peninsula. Hong Kong offers many beautiful outlying Islands and Tap Mun is one of my favorite. It's a very nice place for camping too! I feel like I'm in New Zealand when I'm there because of it's spectacular views and the very green grass fields with the feral cattles around, overlooking the beautiful ocean.
Being there while feeling the cool ocean breeze and enjoying the beautiful views and atmosphere away from the busy city is what relaxes me the most.

To go there, you have to take a ferry, either from Wong Shek Pier or from MA LIU SHUI PIER. We took the ferry from Ma Liu Shui ferry Pier near UNIVERSITY STATION MTR. You have to take note of the sailing schedule to go Tap Mun from Ma Liu Shui pier because they only have two(2) sailings daily. First is at 8:30am and last is at 3pm. However, they add additional sailing schedule which is at 12:30pm for the weekends and public holidays only.

One way fare is $28 hkd, TAP MUN is the third stop after SHAM CHUNG and LAI CHI CHUNG. Lots of things you can discover there. I can't get enough of the views and wanting to stay there for that day :)
