Dishonored | Capturing the Arkane | 2020 Review

Dishonored is a 2012 stealth-action game from Arkane Studios set in a post-apocalyptic Dunwall City. My Dishonored 2020 review covers the topic of genre, level design, and story, and makes an attempt at capturing the Arkane. Arkane Studios was the studio behind Arx Fatalis and Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and would have had a couple other titles had they been more savvy with their contracts. Dishonored's credits include names like Raphael Colantonio, Harvey Smith, and Bethesda Game Softworks (of course Bethesda is here). These guys worked on games like System Shock, Thief, and Deus Ex, which of course inspires a long conversation about Immersive Sims.
