Scanning in CIMCO Edit 2022

Описание к видео Scanning in CIMCO Edit 2022

With the Scanning feature in CIMCO Edit 2022 the workpiece, fixture, work offset, stock, tools and holders can be defined directly in the NC program and automatically loaded upon starting Backplot or Machine Simulation..

Scanning not only saves you time, but also increases productivity by eliminating the task of manually creating tools, loading geometry, specifying work offsets and defining stock.

Scanning includes multiple options such as Scanning Mode, Read and Write settings and NC File Placement settings. Scanning Mode determines how the scanning commands will be read, whether they are defined in the current NC program, in an external setup file or simply ignored so that no scanning is done. Read and Write settings clarifies which objects will be scanned, whether it’s the geometries, holders, stock, tools, or work offset. Finally, NC File Placement settings specifies where the scanning commands are located.

Please note that Scanning can also be used with CAM integrations where tools, geometry, work offsets and stock can be exported from a CAM system to either Backplot or Machine Simulation.

Scanning is available with both the Backplot and the Machine Simulation Add-on. Watch the video below for more information.
