I wrote this song last year for the Firefighter Behavioral Health Alliance in an effort to shed some light on the mental aspects of being a first responder.

It's about memories inside my head I wish I didn't have, but realizing that my heart uses those memories as a way to remind me who I am and how I got here. This is something I know millions of others (like myself) can relate to.

This song is my effort to encourage someone else to stop for a moment and remember. You can't hide from whats inside your heart and soul, so you might as well figure out how to use it as fuel. Not everyone is the same, but that's what I try to do. As a nation, it wouldn’t hurt us one bit if we ALL took a moment to reflect and simply “remember” our collective past.
