HDD or Hard Disk Drives are more common and more popular and it is not a new one. People started to use HDD for their computers many years ago. But few years ago, new member came for data storing like music, photo, video, documents and other files and folders…

Platter, Actuators, Actuator Arms, Head, Spindle and many other parts are inside a Hard Drive. The platters are situated in a one place by the spindle and these platters are rotating around it. Then the Actuator hold Actuator Arms and these arms can move one place to another place along the radius of platter. When we copy paste, delete or read and write data in our computer, these Actuator Arms are moving very fast on the platter. There is a mechanical system inside hard disk drives and therefore, it makes a tiny noise. HDD has two sizes. One is 3.5 inches (Desktop size) then the other one is 2.5 inches (Laptop size).

SSD or Solid State Drive is a new comer to the data storing society. It is like a pen drive (flash drive). There is no any mechanical system. There is a circuit with some chipsets (IC – Integrated Circuit). But these are more expensive than HDDs.
