We have baked chimney cakes with the best American flour, and the dough was not the same as in Hungary, until we used the Caputo flour. This flour is imported from Europe, and it contains gluten. However, countless non-Celiac, gluten-sensitive individuals have found that they do not suffer from symptoms of gluten intolerance from our chimney cakes or wheat pastries in Europe. We will NEVER recommend our chimney cakes to individuals with gluten sensitivities, but we hope this information is useful for your dietary discoveries.
