The AWS of manufacturing is in Coimbatore.

xLogic Labs is creating a fully vertical factory. What this means is that they're building machines, robots, AI for quality control, and software for DFM checks and instant quotes.

Dhanush Bakthavatchalam, the founder of the company, explained the AWS metaphor during our time with him. "Instead of data centres, it’s xLogic Factories. Instead of servers, it’s machines and robots built by xLogic. Instead of AWS software, it’s xLogic’s software that enables interfacing with machines over cloud."

xLogic wants to make abstraction layers for their machines and robots so seamless that anyone can buy capacity in their factory, design the manufacturing flow on a website, and start producing parts with the guarantee that the end result will be perfect.

Because xLogic builds their own machines and controls everything in their factory, they have the ability to offer an AWS-like pricing model where customers can simply purchase capacity. This model will make manufacturing products significantly cheaper.

If customers want to opt for a per-part pricing model, that is also possible. Customers will be able to get an instant quote for their sheet or tube metal products instantly on xLogic's website.

Dhanush and his team have been building this for the last 7 months, and they've made substantial progress in that short amount of time. We visited their lab in January of 2026 to see what they've been up to.
