Leadership in academia is not merely about holding positions—it is about shaping vision, influencing systems, and transforming institutions with equity, excellence, and empathy at the core. NariDrishti, an initiative of the Maharashtra State Faculty Development Academy (MSFDA), is designed to nurture women leaders who are prepared to lead meaningful change in higher education.

This video captures the journey of NariDrishti, a five-day immersive leadership development program that empowers women faculty members to reflect, learn, and translate leadership insights into academic practice.

Day One lays the foundation by helping participants explore leadership identity, self-awareness, and emotional intelligence. Through discussions on leadership styles, gender-sensitive administration, and institutional context, participants reconnect with purpose and clarity—recognizing that strong leadership begins from within.

Day Two deepens understanding of governance and policy frameworks. Participants examine women’s roles in institutional decision-making and align leadership practices with the vision of the National Education Policy 2020, learning how policy intent can be transformed into institutional impact.

Day Three focuses on research, innovation, and academic excellence. By addressing gender gaps in academia, research funding opportunities, and inclusive proposal design, participants strengthen their confidence to navigate research ecosystems and collaborative academic environments.

Day Four turns inward, emphasizing resilience, power, negotiation, and work–life integration. Sessions highlight the importance of mentorship, peer networks, and emotional strength in sustaining long-term leadership journeys.

Day Five culminates with strategic, action-oriented leadership. Participants integrate learning across the program and commit to translating insights into classroom practices, institutional strategies, and gender equity action plans—affirming their role as change-makers in higher education.
