First Look Diesel Legends of the Great Western & Diesel's Introduction: Great Western Express : TSW2

Описание к видео First Look Diesel Legends of the Great Western & Diesel's Introduction: Great Western Express : TSW2

Learn the basics of start-up, starting, stopping and passenger door operations of a Class 52 diesel-hydraulic locomotive, Class 101 Diesel multiple Unit and Class 08 Diesel-Electric shunting locomotive.

Class 52 'Western' - The British Rail Class 52 was a class of 74 Type 4 diesel-hydraulic locomotives built for the Western Region of British Railways between 1961 and 1964. All were given two-word names, the first word being "Western" and thus the type became known as Westerns. They were also known as Wizzos and Thousands to the railwaymen too.

BR Class 101 - The British Rail Classes 101 and 102 diesel mechanical multiple units were built by Metro-Cammell at Washwood Heath in Birmingham, England from 1956 to 1959, following construction of a series of prototype units. These classes proved to be some of the most successful and longest-lived of BR's First Generation DMUs, second in longevity only to the Class 121, with the final five units being withdrawn on 24 December 2003. The oldest set was, by then, just over 47 years old.

BR Class 08 - The British Rail Class 08 is a class of diesel-electric shunting locomotive built by British Railways (BR). As the standard BR general-purpose diesel shunter, the class became a familiar sight at major stations and freight yards. Since their introduction in 1952 however, the nature of rail traffic in Britain has changed considerably. Freight trains are now mostly fixed rakes of wagons, and passenger trains are mostly multiple units, neither requiring the attention of a shunting locomotive. Consequently, a large proportion of the class has been withdrawn from mainline use and stored, scrapped, exported or sold to industrial or heritage railways.

Diesel Legends of the Great Western offers an entirely new perspective through the train cabs of yesteryear. An age before HSTs and Turbos.

Featuring the BR Class 52, Class 101 and Class 08, this collection for Great Western Express features all-new gameplay representative of the early 1970s, with loco-hauled trains on the fast lines and mechanically-geared DMUs on commuter runs, with shunting and empty stock movements around Old Oak Common. Through a selection of engaging scenarios and an entirely separate timetable, the services of the 1970s are brought back to life
