Bigeye Tuna Fishing Hawaii

Highly sustainable Hand Line fishing for Bigeye and Yellowfin tuna in the offshore waters of Hawaii. This is what is known locally as dangling fishing a form of slow trolling. Although it may seem like a lot of fish, we only scrap the surface of these massive piles which will often be over 100 tons. Our fishery has almost no bycatch interaction. The beautiful thing about hook and line fishing as opposed to purse seining for tuna is that when the tuna don't want to bite they don't. In sustainable fishing the fish have to win sometimes which is often the case in our fishery. This video represents extremely good fishing and not our typical norm. All the fish we catch stays right here in Hawaii feeding the local people and visitors alike. The fish is all systematically processed, brined and iced in a timely fashion to insure the highest possible quality for the people who will consume it.
