“A two‑day regional conference of heads of anti‑narcotics task forces (ANTF) from the Northeast and West Bengal commenced in Dimapur, organised by the NCB and the Nagaland Government.

The conference focused on the region’s vulnerability due to its 1,643‑km long porous border with Myanmar, challenging terrain, and its proximity to the Golden Triangle (Myanmar‑Laos‑Thailand). These factors make the region prone to drug trafficking, insurgency and narco‑terrorism.
