[Currently just a demo. Things are subject to change when the final product gets released].

Project 9X Autumn aims to be a romhack of Super Mario 64 with its self-alpha inspired style and gameplay design. Main things include 2 stars per course and beta driven moveset for Mario, alongside different area and texture design I've ever seen in a romhack of this caliber.

Here are some common gripes I had with the demo while playing:
-Goombas have their hitbox a bit larger than the original, which I don't think is very fair against regular players that're familiar with original ones from SM64 resulting in some unfair hits or even deaths, like how it made me fail a lot in certain spots where precision was necessary.
-Bob-ombs are wonky and not very fluid to interact with. Not able to grab them feels odd to me as you have less ways to defend yourself, and when the only way to defeat them is by jumping on them being kinda unreliable sometimes makes this enemy overall not worth your time to fight against. They may make you get hit after you hit them, which isn't fair. They may also make you stuck into hitting them and them hitting you, making you get propelled into air. (6:52)
-Breakable blocks in air being too high up, making you do a sideflip to get to them. It would be more beneficial to reach those commonly found blocks with at least a double jump, otherwise they won't be worth for players to try and reach if it's even slightly frustrating to do so. What's the point of interacting something if it's tedious every time you do so? No fun in that. (1:48)

Specific gripes I had:
-Goombas, when colliding with each other, just makes one of them end up dying for no reason, and sometimes it makes the survived one have broken rotation (2:47). Reverting this to how it was in vanilla would be for the better.
-File select looking a bit stale with stone looking texture.
-Thwomp in water after falling becomes invincible. (9:02),
-Dying or leaving after collecting a star in certain courses makes the camera look weird. Changing that to be more eye-candy looking would make this a bit more enjoyable I bet. (11:05), (15:10), (39:53), (49:31), (1:02:48), (1:20:03)
-The tune that plays after collecting a star loops back when the screen almost fades out. (12:52)
-World 1-6's music is way too loud. (36:53)
-Mini-red star placement in World 1-6 isn't very intuitive for looking out to them.
-Secrets having the same texture as regular stars in World 2-3 is odd and quite confusing to look at.
-Warps for certain courses in Floor 2 transporting you higher up in the floor instead of launching you back at the location of the painting for that course (1:05:05 - For reference; 1:05:54 - Location's different than where Mario is supposed to be for that Course's Fail and Success Warp in comparison to World 2-3 (1:01:27). This affects both World 2-4 and World 2-7 as well).
-Mario, when flying, is being able to turn completely backwards (not present in vanilla for comparison), which is not something the hack tells you and can become easily frustrating when trying to land (This is especially disastrous when coupled with the next one on the list). (1:24:07)
-Z button for when Mario's flying in the air not working sometimes. It could be dependent if Mario is wing capped perhaps? Also, why does it involve holding a button anyway? Concerned with accidental inputs? Please tell your players about this change in the game beforehand then. (1:21:24)

Overall, despite all those things I've listed above I still think the demo is an enjoyable experience and an upgrade from the previous one; I recommend you to check it out yourself or even wait for the full game when it comes out for that matter. Everyone involved in this project has put a lot of effort into this and it can be clearly seen. Keep it up! And take a break occasionally. Have a nice day!
