In a slew of steps taken by the Assam govt in its crackdown against child marriages in the state, Director General of Police GP Singh instructed police officials of all districts for early completion of child marriage cases. In the 2nd monthly State Crime Conference at the Assam Police Headquarters, the DGP also directed districts for timely investigation of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic substances Act cases and tracking of absconders.
