Footage of helicopters operating under the auspices of Nigeria's National Rehabilitation Commssion delivering food to war-ravaged areas of what had been the secessionist state of Biafra. The helicopters were used in conjunction with a fleet of lorries. Food was flown to Owerri, Akwa and Aba before being transferred to lorries.

The director of relief operations in the East Central State and Secretary to the National Rehabilitation Commission, Mr. Olowu, said that the fleet of lorries would be increased and that a scheme for distributing yam seedlings to farmers had begun.

The footage was shot in Enugu, the capital of the East Central State, Umuahia and neighbouring villages.
