Porsche 944 Turbo Fuel Filter Replacement (1986 - 1989)

A faulty or clogged fuel filter can cause poor engine performance and hard starting problems.

When they get completely plugged, you will be left with an engine that doesn't run at all. If your car is starting to stumble under hard acceleration or is generally running rough, it may be time to check the fuel filter.

The fuel filter is located under the vehicle near the tank on the right side. When replacing, work in a well-ventilated area. Working outdoors is a good choice. Do not use incandescent work lights or power tools and DO NOT smoke: fuel and fuel vapors are highly combustible.
