Hello,
I have an excellent career opportunity for a Technical Manager with a leading manufacturer and converter of Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Labels & Specialty Film Coated Materials in the Dayton, Ohio area.

The company is looking for a Technical with experience in either Solvent Rubber PSA’s (SBR), Emulsion Acrylic PSA’s or Solvent Acrylic PSA’s. They make a wide variety of coated and converted Pressure Sensitive Adhesive Labels & Films Coated Materials for B2B manufacturing markets.

They offer an excellent base salary in the range of 125-150k (or more for the right person), 15% annual bonus opportunity and excellent large company benefits. They will offer relocation for the right candidate.


This role will be responsible for new product development, managing the technical team, the lab, and employees on the R&D team. Full responsibilities are attached in the formal job description.


Requirements:

• BS in a Technical field; preferably Chemistry, Polymer Science, or Chemical Engineering
• MA in related field highly desired
• 7+ years of technical experience in PSA and other technical coatings for web-based processes
• 5+ years of technical team management experience
• Track record of developing and commercializing new products on time and within budget.
• Experience with the use of new product development methodologies including project management, stage-gate, ideation, Design of Experiments (DOE), and IP management, literature and patent research
• Detailed knowledge of additives, formulation processing, applications, and analytical test methods
• Experience in web handling highly preferred
