Tony Guerrero and his band of Friends give tribute in memory of the legendary jazz mega-force, Chick Corea. They performed live at Steamers Jazz at JAX, hosted by Terence Love on the stage at Campus JAX in Newport Beach, CA. The tune 500 Miles High was originally recorded by Chick with his band Return to Forever in 1972 and has become a jazz standard.

TONY GUERRERO: Contemporary jazz flugelhornist, trumpeter, composer, and producer has garnered both critical success and a worldwide audience. He has toured the United States and much of the world as a headliner in major jazz festivals, concert halls, and clubs and has enjoyed commercial radio as well as music for film and television.
DOUG WEBB: Over his career Webb has played and recorded with such notable talents as Horace Silver, Freddie Hubbard, Sal Marquez, Stanley Clarke, Quincy Jones, Mat Marucci, Kyle Eastwood, Billy Childs, Rod Stewart, Carly Simon, Art Davis, Kenny Rogers, Bonnie Raitt, Pancho Sanchez and Vikki Carr. He played with the house band for the Dennis Miller TV show, the Jimmy Cleveland orchestra and continues to tour with the Doc Severinsen big band. He has recorded music for hundreds of movies and television programs. He solos on the sound track for Mystic River, Million Dollar Baby and Jersey Boys. Webb has been featured on hundreds of recordings.
LYMAN MEDEIROS: Is a well-known presence in the Los Angeles working with artists such as N’Dugu Chancellor, Kenny Rankin, Mike Melvoin, Greg Field, Bill Cunliffe, Patti Austin, Michael Feinstein, and Mary Clayton. In September of 2001, he joined Steve Tyrell and has been touring with the popular vocalist ever since. With Tyrell he has shared the stage with many world-class musicians including Randy Brecker, Jim Rotundi, John Guerin, Tom Brechtline, Lou Marini, Jane Monheit, Monica Mancini, Karrin Allyson, and the Nashville Symphony, Kansas City Symphony, Houston Symphony, and the Boston Pops. In 2003, Lyman toured with vocal sensation, Michael Buble. That tour took him around the world performing in Africa, Australia, Europe, and Southeast Asia. The experience is documented on the young singer’s 2004 CD/DVD Come Fly With Me.
PETER BUCK: Peter’s extensive career has taken him on tour throughout the United States, Europe, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. Touring with Keb’ Mo’, Thelma Houston, Michelle Shocked, and Barbara Morrison. Other highlights include performances with Bonnie Raitt, Ice-T, Stevie Wonder, Joe Sample, Judith Hill, Guitar Shorty, Anthony Wilson, Freda Payne, King Floyd, Donny McCaslin, Russ Johnson, Clay Jenkins, Bill Perkins, Bob Sheppard, and Gilbert Castellanos. He has also given performances and master classes at universities across the country. His endorsements include Sabian Cymbals and Aquarian Drumheads.
GARY MATSUMOTO: As a regular touring musician, he has shared the stage with George Benson, Haley Reinhart, Gordon Goodwin, and Macy Gray. Currently, he can be seen nationally with Grammy Award winning vocalist Steve Tyrell. His combine credits include guitarist Wayne Kramer, Nathan Wang, Coco Lee, JJ Lin, Vivian Hsu, and Jenny Tseng, Haley Reinhart, Crystal Lewis, Dave Damiani, Bruce Forman, Dave Koz, Renee Olstead, Spencer Day, Landau Eugene Murphy Jr., Aubrey Logan, Maiya Sykes, Erin Boheme, and Kate Flannery from NBC’s the Office, Marvin “Smitty” Smith, Jeff Clayton, James Carter, Herman Riley, Tierney Sutton, Jane Monheit, Sara Gazarek, Roy McCurdy, Sam Most, Azar Lawrence, James Tormé, Bobby Rodriguez, Grant Geissman, Keith David, Joe Piscopo, Don Most, Robert Davi, Sal “the Voice” Valentinetti, and Billy Vera.
