Timothy Winters is a dramatized version of a poem about a poor neglected boy who lives in a dysfunctional family. He has a difficult day being bullied on the way to school, trying to concentrate on little sleep and healthy food. The welfare worker visits his house and a report is prepared but Timothy continues to exist in this state. The play ends with a speech by the Headmaster about poor children abroad during which Timothy tries to draw attention to his own neglected life. The play is performed by all students in 5N
(aged 9-10 years old) who have also improvised original dialogue based on the poem's narrative.
