A major land controversy has emerged in Cuttack CDA Sector-6:

A 2.5-acre government land valued over ₹100 crore is allegedly being sold to a private company for just ₹3 crore.

Concerns of administrative and political interference have been raised by local developers and associations.

The land was initially put up for e-tender on 21st November 2025, with a submission deadline of 12th December 2025.

Only one bidder participated, causing the tender to be canceled, but CDA extended the deadline to 31st December 2025, raising suspicions.

Two companies eventually participated, and one company was selected for the allotment.

The company plans to demolish old structures on half the land and construct a new office building at a cost of ₹60 crore.

Builders’ associations have raised the issue with the Chief Minister, Vigilance DG, District Collector, and CDA Vice-Chairman.

Critics allege the process may violate standard e-tender protocols, prompting calls for a full investigation.
