It wasn't long ago that Shacknews first tried out Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree from publisher Bandai Namco and developer Brownies Inc. It left a strong first impression, showing off the potential of dual characters in an isometric action roguelite. However, there wasn't much time to truly sink into what makes this game stand out from its many contemporaries. Shacknews was recently given a little more time to spend with Towa and her friends and learned that there's more heart to this story than players may expect.
