The History and Lore of The Earth Government

In the dead space universe there was always a government that would rule over humanity claiming to care and serve their citizens while within the shadows subjugating them to necromorph activity and events to give them more test subjects to experiment with in the case of the creation of new markers like marker 12B from dead space 2 or as it was known in some logs being referred to as the gold marker.

The single entity known as the earth government began during the global warming epidemic where land would be lost due to the crazy spike of weather and natural disasters facing issues like over population and lack of resources they decided to create the sovereign colonies to organise and lead a space fleet to find new worlds to colonise.

The sovereign colonies would eventually turn on them due to civil unrest back on earth, dismantling the corruption in their wake, they unwittingly created a new enemy which would turn into a full rebellion onto them which would lead them to their demise and thus earth gov would be born.

Throughout the years earth gov would allow the marker research to bring them to their own demise whether by outbreaks of necromorph activity or by the unitologist uprising using the same methods as the earth rebellion which is very ironic manipulating their way up the food chain to fill the power vacuum.
