Ant Group's LingBot Open-Sources 'World Model' Rivaling Google's Genie

Chinese AI company LingBot (under Ant Group) has open-sourced its state-of-the-art "world model," LingBot-World, positioning it as a direct competitor to Google's currently closed-source Genie model. This move is seen as a significant challenge to the existing monopoly in this advanced AI field.

LingBot-World distinguishes itself with high-fidelity physical simulation, fine-grained controllability, and exceptional long-term temporal coherence. It can generate interactive, physics-consistent dynamic environments and support up to 10 minutes of high-quality video generation without degradation, overcoming the common issue of short "memory" in previous models.

By releasing the model fully open-source—including code, weights, and data pipelines—LingBot provides a powerful foundation for physics simulation. This is expected to dramatically lower the barriers to entry for research and applications in 3D content creation, game development, and embodied AI (robotics) training. Observers note that LingBot-World complements the company's recently released Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model, together forming an integrated "perception-action-cognition" system aimed at building a fundamental "intelligent base" for future robotics.
