Thailand.
Nestled within the lush forests of Thailand, the Maniq people represent one of the last remaining hunter-gatherer communities in Asia. As part of the ancient Negrito groups, they are believed to be among the earliest inhabitants of Southeast Asia.
Sri Lanka
In Sri Lanka we meet the Kaffirs and the Vedda.
The Sri Lankan Kaffirs are a unique ethnic group in Sri Lanka, with roots that trace back to the 16th century when Portuguese traders brought Bantu people from the African Great Lakes as laborers and soldiers to fight against the Sinhala kings.
The Vedda are a minority indigenous group of people in Sri Lanka who, among other sub-communities are accorded indigenous status. The Vedda are considered the indigenous people of Sri Lanka, with a history that dates back over 16,000 years.
Adivasi is a collective term for the indigenous tribes of India, who are believed to be the original inhabitants of the subcontinent. Genetic evidence indicates that Adivasi populations are descendants of the earliest human migrations out of Africa, with significant admixture with later arriving Indo-Aryan and Dravidian groups.
The Andamanese are one of the world's most isolated and ancient peoples, residing in the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal. Genetic studies have shown that they are direct descendants of some of the earliest humans to migrate out of Africa.
The Siddi are an Afro-Indian community descended from Bantu peoples who came to India as labourers and soldiers. Their genetic makeup is predominantly African, with some admixture from South Asian populations.

The Pacific Islanders
The Pacific Islanders refer to the indigenous peoples of the Pacific Ocean islands, including Polynesia, Micronesia, and Melanesia. They are descendants of the Austronesian-speaking peoples who migrated from Southeast Asia around 3,500 years ago. Genetic studies show a complex admixture of Asian, Melanesian, and Polynesian lineages, depending on the region.
There are millions of Pacific Islanders, with large populations in countries like Fiji, Vanuatu, Micronesia, Tuvalu, New Caledonia, Papua New Guinea, Kiribati, Samoa, Tonga, and the Solomon Islands, as well as significant diaspora communities in New Zealand, Australia, and the United States.
Philippines
The Negrito groups of the Philippines, including the Aeta, Ata,Dumagat, Batak, Lumad,Ati, and Agta, are among the earliest inhabitants of the archipelago, with their ancestors believed to have arrived over 30,000 years ago.

i. Timorese
The Timorese are the indigenous people of island of Timor, which is split between Timor-Leste and Indonesia with a complex ancestry that includes Austronesian-speaking migrants from Southeast Asia and earlier Papuan populations.

ii. Moluccans
The Moluccans are the indigenous people of the Maluku Islands, also known as the Spice Islands, in Indonesia. They are part of the Austronesian-speaking populations that migrated across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, with genetic links to both Southeast Asia and Melanesia.

iii. West Papuans
The West Papuans are the indigenous people of the western half of the island of New Guinea, in the Indonesian provinces of Papua and West Papua.
