India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a speech at the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit on Monday. Launching a veiled attack on Pakistan, PM Modi condemned double standards in financing terrorism. He emphasised the recent Pahalgam terror attack and said India has been struggling with terrorism for a very long time. PM Modi added that terrorism is a threat not just to one nation but to humanity as a whole. He also stated that India has taken the initiative to target several terror groups, including Al-Qaeda. Reiterating India’s stance, PM Modi said the country has a policy of zero tolerance towards cross-border terrorism. Following this, the regional bloc mentioned the Pahalgam terror attack and echoed India's stand in the summit's joint statement. During the summit, PM Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin. On the second day of the event, over two dozen Eurasian leaders attended the SCO summit and posed for a family photograph.
