I love the Beatles, as well as the individual songwriters. John Lennon wrote the original "Jealous Guy," and I love Seth Tackaberry's amazing bass version! The note choices, phrases, embellishments, and feel of this bass performance make it clear that Seth is not only a great bassist, but also a great songwriter.
It's the perfect accompaniment to the vocals. I mean, you can also see and hear the reactions from the singer!
If you're interested in providing musical accompaniment for a singer on bass, this is definitely a great piece to learn! I highly recommend it!

I decided to use the Origin Effects BassRig Fifteen with the Cali76 Bass Comp because I thought they would be a great fit for the track's vibe. I'm using 100% of the amp sound and the XLR out cab sim. There is no processing on the bass track. You're just hearing the B15 sound from the pedal and the compression from the Cali76. The JMJ Mustang bass with Labella flats produces a very mellow sound. After experimenting with the settings, I ended up cutting the treble and bass quite a bit to achieve a good midrange presence. I also set the drive to the point where it started to break slightly.
I really like what the pedal adds to the sound. It's a great recording tool if you like the B15 sound but don't have an old B15 amp and the option to record in a good room.
