A Rs 150 commemorative coin was issued marking the 150th Birth Anniversary of Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharaj. The commemorative coin was released on March 9, 2025. The UNC coin set was minted and issued by the India Government Mint, Kolkata.

Acharya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharaj was a highly respected Jain monk known for his profound teachings and significant contributions to Jain philosophy. His wisdom and spiritual guidance have left a lasting impact on his followers and the Jain community.

The metal composition of the ₹150 coin consists of a Quaternary Alloy, comprising 50% Silver, 40% Copper, 5% Nickel, and 5% Zinc. The coin weighs 35 grams and has a diameter of 44 mm, featuring 200 serrations along the edge.

The obverse depicts the Lion Capital of the Ashoka Pillar at the center, with the legend “सत्यमेव जयते” inscribed below. The words “भारत” and “INDIA” appear on the right and left periphery, respectively, with the rupee symbol “₹” and the denomination “150” placed below the Ashoka Lion Capital.

On the reverse, the coin features the image of the Jain Acharya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharaj in the centre of the coin. The inscription “जैन आचार्य श्रीमद् बुद्धिसागर सूरीश्वरजी महाराज जी की 150वीं जयंती” written in Devanagari script on the upper periphery and the inscription “150th Birth Anniversary of Jain Acharya Shrimad Buddhisagar Surishwarji Maharajji” in English is depicted on the lower periphery of the coin. The years “1874” and “2024” in international numerals flanked on left and right periphery of the coin.

The Buddhivani Foundation provided a wooden box for devotees and followers who ordered the coin set from them specifically for puja purposes.

This is the UNC set issued at the release function although the proof set was issued at the price of ₹3106 on India Government Mint's website from March 12, 2025.
