Rong Guang BBQ Seafood was first established in 1985. Mr Eng Boon Hor, who is known as Botak Joe, is the eldest son in the family. He inherited his parents' business in 2000. From the start, Boon Hor wanted to select a suitable symbol for the company. He settles on a stingray symbol which has become an iconic brand, recognized internationally. Throughout the years with Boon Hor's dedication to and hard work in his business, Rong Guang's reputation in Singapore's food industry grew steadily, winning countless awards for their famous dishes and homemade sauces. Furthermore, Boon Hor's appeared in television programmes, newspapers as well as magazines.

Rong Guang BBQ Seafood is currently in Simpang Bedok and still serving good food. It is what you’d expect from a good seafood BBQ stall but in generous portions. In addition to the tasty chilli crab, grilled calamari, and stingray, their wings and Tom Yum fried rice is just as good. The bonus if you dine here is that you can order sake, soju, craft beer or wines from a stall nearby to go with the good food. Will definitely return for a good experience.
