Jingshan Park is located on Jingshan Front Street in Xicheng District, Beijing, China. It faces Beihai to the west and across the street from the Shenwu Gate of the Forbidden City to the south. It was the imperial garden of the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. The park is located on the central axis of Beijing during the Ming and Qing Dynasties. Jingshan in the center of the park was once the commanding heights of the city.

During the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, Jingshan and its ancillary buildings were not only a royal garden for sightseeing, but also had multiple functions such as archery practice, spiritual worship, ancestor worship, official learning, farming, opera, and religion. The park currently covers an area of 23 hectares.
