This year Europe has been hit by heat waves over small spans of time this year during the 2019 F1 season, with track temps on some weekends exceeding that of 50 degrees celsius. At Hockenheim this year during free practice, ambient temps exceeded 35 degrees celsius. This run is based to emulate these conditions to a degree, but with slightly better overall track grip.

Target laptime was anywhere within 4 tenths of a second to pole lap on Saturday, so I was kind of surprised when I went 2 tenths quicker. I chose to stay commited on the last corner instead of lifting completely, and this was necessary to get the results I did. Fuel load was set to about 15 litres.

This lap is roughly 3 seconds slower than my time attack, so it's really cool to compare both lap runs, the difference in track temperatures being a whopping 40 degrees celsius.
