Happy Memorial Day! Hope you’re all enjoying yourselves in remembering loved ones. I’m a big believer in the idea that we’ll see those that’ve passed on again—no doubt. Let’s celebrate good memories and be grateful that we even got the chance to know them before they moved on. At the same time, let’s make the present count with those that are still with us!

Here we are, already mid 2024. Time has flown so fast and I don’t think it’s slowing down soon. I find myself trying to savor moments as best I can, especially now that I’m older. My understanding of the world has changed so drastically from the time I was young. Millennials were once the future, but now we’re the ones molding the next. Not sure if that’s good or bad, but I guess we’ll find out in time.

Speaking of the future, I was able to bring on a young, promising talent by the name of Stone II. If there’s any sign of direction in which urban island music is headed, I’d say Stone contributes heavily to pointing the way. Big s/o & thanks to him and his team for the willingness to rock with me on this one. I’m grateful indeed.

I’m grateful to you, the listener as well. I know I say this with every release, but I can’t express it enough. With every listen, you help me rise above the frays of life again, and again. I only wish I could do more to connect with you—but as a family man, and one of conviction, ’tis a must I prioritize my obligations over what my career demands of me. And if I’m being totally honest, there’s no way to serve the listeners and the family equally at once. Early on, I tried.. but nearly lost both in my attempt. By now, I know better. This music thing was never supposed to be more than what it is for me now. My past desires for becoming a star (of sorts) has long subsided, and it’s clear that my joy is heavily dependent on how well I fulfill my role within the family.

Well, that’s all for now, folks. I have a few in the tank to be released soon as well, so you can expect to meet here again when the time comes. Thank you all so much for having stuck around for as long as you have. I thank God I’m still able to do this even now. Much love and YAH BLESS!
