Welcome to Project 17!

In this video, I design a sealable cup from scratch in Creo Parametric — similar in size to a standing cup, but fully sealable and 3D-print ready. This project covers advanced surfacing-style solids, multi-part modeling, and final assembly with an exploded view.

By the end of the video, you’ll have a complete cup, lid, rubber seal, and straw, assembled and ready for manufacturing or 3D printing.

In this project, you’ll learn how to:

Create the main cup body using Sweep Blend with multiple sections

Control shape using datum points, centerlines, and references

Apply Shell to create uniform wall thickness

Add finishing details using Rounds and Chamfers

Design a functional lid using Sketch, Extrude, and Revolve

Cut internal features using Revolve (Remove Material)

Create a flexible rubber sealing ring using Revolve

Model a straw with Extrude and Revolve

Apply colors and appearances to different components

Build a clean multi-part assembly

Use assembly constraints to position parts correctly

Create an Exploded View for presentation

Prepare a model suitable for 3D printing or prototyping

This project is ideal for users who want to move beyond basic parts and learn how real consumer products are modeled and assembled in Creo.
