Romans chapter 5 verses 3 to 5;
"Rejoice in sufferings, for they produce endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, hope does not put us to shame."

James 1:2-4
"Trials of various kinds, know that testing of your faith produces steadfastness, wet steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."

2nd Corinthians 12: 9-10
"I will boast all of the more gladly of my weaknesses so that the power of Christ May rest upon me, ...for when I am weak I am strong."

reflecting on all of these verses, helps us understand the fact that when we are trying to heal ourselves, it helps us realize that if we have a positive mind, like having hope and love and faith for a positive outcome or a positive understanding or a positive future or even in God and Jesus which is everything positive, then that literally means that we can develop love, hope, faith, and Trust which literally circumvent (or stop entirely), fear, despair, guilt, shame, and hate.
