🔹️We will give people far more time to make the necessary transition to heat pumps. We’ll never force anyone to rip out their existing boiler and replace it with a heat pump. You’ll only ever have to make the switch when you’re replacing your boiler anyway, even then not until 2035.

🔹️We’re scrapping expensive energy efficiency requirements. We’ll continue to help families with the costs of making their homes more energy efficient. But we’ll never force any household to make changes.

🔹️We’re supporting new oil and gas in the North Sea. That way, we’re less reliant on foreign imports. Between the war in Ukraine and supply-chain problems, this is a sensible policy that has no effect on our Net Zero goal.
