The Joy of Coming Home
We now enter into our 3rd Sunday of Advent, the Sunday of Joy. We also continue our theme of Coming Home. Over the last couple of weeks, we have looked at the Hope and the Peace that our current homes may or may not have for us and the promise of a heavenly home to come. These were based one the prophecies of the Messiah to come. As we head into our 3rd and fourth Sunday’s we will focus on the joy and love, the excitement of the prophecies unfolding before our eyes with the birth of Jesus. This Sunday we again look to John the Baptist and what he is proclaiming about Jesus right before he begins his ministry here on earth with us. It is the fulfillment of that prophecy in what Jesus is doing and calls us to do that creates this excitement and Joy we experience. Come and join us as we look toward and prepare for the birth of our Savior!
