"We are in favour of immediately launching those task forces but beside these diplomatic tools, the key tool to solving the problem of humanitarian (aid) supply and the special problem of (establishing a) truce is everyday co-operation and co-ordination between the military; first of all the military of the US leading the coalition, and the military of the Russian Federation, given that we are working in Syria upon the invitation of the Syrian government and that we have certain influence on Damascus."

STORYLINE:
Russia's prime minister accused the West on Saturday of rekindling the Cold War, a statement that NATO officials and Western leaders later dismissed.
Dmitry Medvedev told a meeting of top defence officials, diplomats and national leaders at the Munich Security Conference that NATO's relations with his country were "unfriendly and opaque".
Russia's foreign minister Sergey Lavrov meanwhile said that military co-operation between Russia and the US-led coalition was essential to boost humanitarian aid access and bring about a truce in Syria.
