The custard apple is a tropical fruit widely cultivated in regions like South and Southeast Asia, as well as parts of Africa and America.
🔵Custard apple renounced for its sweet, creamy texture and distinctive appearance, with green scaly skin and soft white flesh inside. It’s often described as deliciously sweet and creamy. Custard apples are rich in vitamins ( ESPECIALLY VITAMIN C ), minerals, and dietary fiber.
🔵Custard apples are also grown in India, especially in the Alirajpur district of Madhya Pradesh.
🔵 India is a major producer and exporter of custard apples, exporting to many countries, including the United States, Saudi Arabia, Canada, the United Arab Emirates, and various European nations
🔵India's top custard apple-producing state is Maharashtra, followed by Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh. Custard apples are also grown in Assam, Bihar, Odisha, and Rajasthan
🔵According to Volza's India Export data, India exported 4,565 shipments of Custard Apple from Mar 2023 to Feb 2024 (TTM).
🔵These exports were made by 160 Indian Exporters to 353 Buyers, marking a growth rate of 19% compared to the preceding twelve months.
🔵Within this period, in Feb 2024 alone, 431 Custard Apple export shipments were made from India.
🔵This marks a year-on-year growth of 74% compared to Feb 2023, and a -47% sequential growth from Jan 2024.
🔵Most of the Custard Apple exports from India go to the United Arab Emirates, Oman, and Saudi Arabia
