Heavy-duty chassis bracing, upgraded electronics, beefed-up suspension… we’ve done it all. But every rig has a weak point.

💥 The Weak Link – Stock Driveshafts
A few videos back, we took the Outcast 8S to Penallta, in the heart of the Welsh Valleys — home to Sultan the Pit Pony, the iconic landscape sculpture. We went big… maybe too big. The truck landed perfectly on its wheels, but with a brutal side impact. That’s when the weak point showed itself:
The stock driveshafts bent. Easily.

Honestly, for a truck built for 8S bashing, the stock shafts just aren’t up to extreme side-load landings. And that’s where today’s upgrade comes in.

End diameter: 7.11mm

⚠ Before You Buy – Setup Warnings
These aren’t a drop-in and forget part for everyone. If you run them wrong, you will break something else instead.

Droop Settings: Adjust so the axle isn’t in a bind when wheels are fully extended or fully compressed.

RPM Arms: Not recommended. They flex more than stock and don’t allow droop adjustments — a recipe for binding.

Landing Technique: Avoid landing on throttle — no driveshaft in the world survives constant shock loads under torque.

M2C even recommends using limiting straps, droop screws, or small fuel tubing inside shocks to control travel and avoid binding.
