The rules for postal voting have changed. All postal votes handed in at a polling station or council office must now include a completed postal vote return form, or they will be rejected. There are new limits on the number of postal votes one person can hand in. Presiding Officers and Clerks at polling stations will have the necessary forms, and council offices will provide guidance on where to complete them. Postal votes should not be put through letterboxes or internal mailboxes, as they will be rejected. For advice on returning postal votes in the Penrith and Solway, or Morecambe and Lunesdale constituencies, contact the respective elections teams. If your postal vote pack is spoiled, lost, or not received, contact the Acting Returning Officer for a reissue. Spoiled packs must be returned in full for reissue.
