On March 23, 2014, Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) and the Yeshiva University community celebrated the ordination of a record 230 musmakhim [ordained rabbis] from the classes of 2011-2014 at their Chag HaSemikhah Convocation. Honorees included Rabbi Gedalia Dov Schwartz, YU alumnus and Av Beit Din of the Beth Din of America and of the Chicago Rabbinical Council Beit Din, and philanthropist Jay Schottenstein.
