18 Misty Holes at Kington Golf Course, England's highest 18 hole golf course. Every shot as usual.

Every shot from my first round at the Kington Golf Club in Kington, Herefordshire on March 18th 2024.

This was my first of two 18 hole rounds played on the day. I'd arrived early and was first on the course after it had been closed the previous day due to yet more torrential rain saturating the greens. The course played really well, even if the greens were a touch damp in places but the turf was magnificent all the way round. The forecast promised much but not before the hill fog had payed a visit and shrouded the course in cloud for the majority of the middle part of the round. It certainly made you think your way around and I really enjoyed the challenge.

My golf was good for most of the round and for a first visit to the course, I scored well and was very happy with my level. Back to back birdies doesn't happen very often in my golfing world!

Doing these videos, I'm realising that I'm matching many of my interests in creating them. Golf, being outdoors, nerdy IT things and graphics and also birdwatching with my old smartphone picking up lots of #birdsong on these videos. Watching them back, to me, it's a really #mindful experience, being able to hear the birds and the ambient sounds of the outdoors. Hopefully anyone watching can pick up some of that enjoyment that I feel when I'm out there.

I loved playing the highest 18 hole golf course in England and I'll certainly return to play on a calm summers day, not only to enjoy the golf and the course but to listen to those Skylarks again and again...
