Hi there! My name is Stefanie Butler. I am an actor, a writer and a director originally from Atlanta, Georgia who eventually made her way out here to Los Angeles to start working in film. But I haven’t really had my big break yet! Still working on that… ;)

I have been a storyteller my whole life and have always wanted to be a part of something bigger, be a part of putting things out into the world that are positive and uplifting, things that make a difference and things that you can enjoy with your loved ones. And that is exactly the kind of network and the kind of content that Hallmark delivers. My favorite kinds of films are ones with a strong female at the lead and Hallmark is the master of this kind of storytelling. And getting to curl up on the couch with your mom and your sisters and watch something like that? Nothing beats that! And even more, the thought of getting to be a part of something like that? Umm, winning!

And speaking of winning…winning the #VoicesThatGive contest would help me advance forward in my career, because it would give me an opportunity to work with the kind of people I want to work with on the kind of network that puts out the good, wholesome, uplifting and positive content that I want to be a part of. Also, the opportunity for mentorship from someone like Jen, is something I have really been hoping and longing for in my career so that feels like it would be a huge blessing. And beyond those two things, the opportunity to win the prize money would be SO incredibly helpful in moving me towards my lifelong goal of making my own film. Hallmark is about family, it’s about positivity, it’s about love and friendship - and who wouldn’t want to be a part of something as wonderful as that? I know I would!

Paying it forward it always something I have strived to do in my own life and absolutely believe is a part of our responsibility as a community of people, all united all equal. Thankful for the ways you guys are doing that here! And I just want to say a huge thank you to Jen Lilley - I have the upmost respect for someone like Jen who not only excels in the work she does within her craft and career, but is also a working mom, who cares deeply about making a difference in the lives of others and using her platform for good, all while giving back to organizations she truly believes in. And a huge thank you to Orbiiit and Hallmark for giving all of us this amazing opportunity to showcase what we can do and all for a great cause with Project Orphans! That’s definitely something I can get behind.

I wanted to submit a scene that was a little more playful and had a little more energy. I hope you enjoy watching as much as I enjoyed taping!
