GEN. KABAREBE ON THE GENESIS OF RWANDA'S LIBERATION

Rwanda Patriotic Army (RPA) soldiers under the political stewardship of Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF) started the liberation struggle on October 1st 1990, a struggle that ended on July 4th 1994 with the stopping of the genocide against the Tutsi. Rwanda's Defence Minister Gen. James Kabarebe was among the fighters during the liberation struggle. Speaking at the closure of the 2nd edition of the Inter-Generation Dialogue organised by Miss Rwanda 2016 Mutesi Jolly, Gen Kabarebe urged Rwandan youth to prepare for a new form of liberation struggle that involve sustaining the current development. The dialogue with the theme of sustaining Rwanda's achievements attracted high school students from Lycée de Kigali, Lycée Notre Dame De Cîteaux, King David Academy and Kagarama Secondary School.
