Today we will listen to "Sharade Veena Vadana", a composition of Brahmashri Papanasam Sivan in Ragam Devagandhari, Adi Thalam. It has been rendered by Vid. Aishwarya Mahesh.

In this song, Papanasam Sivan worships Goddess Saraswati as the foremost Veena artist, and addresses her as the mother of Narada Muni and the consort of Brahma. She is seated on the Swan, and Her Lotus Feet are worshipped by Indra and other Devas.

She bestows her devotees with all their desires and has a compassionate smile on Her Lotus Face which derides the beauty of the full moon. She is the ever-auspicious Mother enshrined in the heart of Ramadasa.

About the artist:

Vid. Aishwarya Mahesh has been learning music since the age of 8. She had her formative training under the able guidance of Vainikas and Vocalists Smt. Jaysri Jeyaraaj & Shri. JT Jeyaraaj Krishnan who run the Veenavaadhini Sampradaya Sangit Trust.

She is a recipient of the Senior Scholarship for Young Artists offered by the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, and is undergoing advanced training from Vids. Ranjani - Gayatri.

She has been performing in various temples and sabhas over the years and has also given multiple Facebook live concerts.
