Zara Smile, a 21-year-old artist originally from south London, now operating in Liverpool, captures their audiences with their honest and vulnerable lyricism, as well as catchy melodies. using influences from riot grrrl punk to traditional folk, they have an intoxicating sound, and a cool, relatable energy in their performances. she is focused on speaking on her experiences as a queer person of colour, through music and in life, with unfiltered honesty.

The Red Shutter Club is a series where local musicians are interviewed to share their experience in the Liverpool music community. Interviewer Shannon Peterson is a musician and masters student, looking to study how artists find success through building brand image, among other things!
