Sango (Suite) | Inuyasha (OST) by Kaoru Wada

Based on the manga by Rumiko Takahashi, “Inuyasha” follows Kagome Higurashi, a teenage girl who happens to travel back in time in the Sengoku period, where she meets the half-human, half-demon Inuyasha and other characters, and whose adventures revolves around collecting the fragments of the Shikon Jewel. “Inuyasha” has been one of the most popular anime of its generation, thanks to the entertaining story, engaging characters and beautiful animations by Sunrise. The musical score has been composed by Kaoru Wada, and is characterized by its orchestral sound and iconic melodies for its main characters.

Sango gets introduced a bit later compared to the other main characters, but her addition is very impactful in the story. Sango is a demon slayer who looses her family and her entire clan by the hands of Naraku, and she has to deal with loss as well as desire for revenge, but she also finds a new family in Kagome and her friends. Her musical theme is quite nostalgic, and conveys the loneliness, tenderness and beauty of her character very well.
