Wet West Paddle Fest 2023

8 Kayakers from the Univeristy of Birmingham Kayak Club, UBKC, went to Wet West Paddle Fest to join in on the kayaking and partying.

Day 0: Stopped off at the Tees (see previous video)

Day 1: Paddled the Etive including triple step, had some swims on letterbox, and some airtime on right angle. Then did another lap for those still up for it.

Day 2: Starting the day of with a wade into the loch, we quickly saw a damaged nose caused by top drop on the Moriston. Dan dropped into the slot and scrapped his nose on either the wall or riverbed. Although it looked bad it was just a gash (not broken), he was cleaned up with a little first aid then he walked out with Mountain rescue, who were on stand by for any other emergencies at WWPF. Narrows led into sticky hole which gobbled one of our team and caused another to swim. Cheese grater was bumpy but nicely lead to some play waves at the get out.

Day 3: Did one and a bit laps of the garry where we were surfing some waves and attempting lots of tailys, flat spins and cartwheels.
